Welcome to Shawsville Middle School, Mustang Country!  Our exceptional faculty and staff are dedicated to helping your child learn, grow and succeed as a person.  High expectations and excellence are priorities at SMS.  We utilize patience and persistence while preparing your child for the rigors of high school, college and life. 

In keeping with middle school practices, Shawsville is structured around interdisciplinary grade-level teams that serve the academic needs of our students while providing a personal experience during their most formative years.  We offer a wide range of electives:  Agriculture, Wood Technology, Computer Applications, Teen Living, Foreign Language, Music and Fine Arts.  In addition, students have the opportunity to earn high school credits by taking Spanish I, Algebra I, and/or Geometry.  Our students are encouraged to develop new skills and to explore their interests by participating in a variety of wonderful programs offered throughout the year, especially our many after school activities and clubs.

We want to encourage you to be an active member of our school community.  Whether you join the PTO, volunteer at school events and functions, or just read the newsletter that comes out at the end of each grading period, your support will be appreciated and our students will benefit.
